This is my experience of learning drawing.

Tools

Sketching tools are very simple, which is one of the reasons why I like sketching. The basic tools are pencil, eraser and knife. However, it also can be tedious, for example, for different details, we need to use different types of pencil. Also, there are many different kinds of erasers. But compared with oil painting, sketch is much simpler in terms of tools.

Palette and Easel

This is a set of palette and easel. Depend on personal preference and habit, people can choose different style of easel. The height of the easel can usually be adjusted. Outdoor sketching can bring a kind of board which is more portable. This is a set I like, and I've collected several sets of easels and artboards like this.

Geometry

In the process, the teacher taught us how to observe the relationship between light and shadow and how to find the tonal line. This stage is conducive to laying a good foundation. Practicing and teaching always become a process in common during learning drawing.

Still Life

Plaster still life is a stage to paint objects in daily life. It makes the previous section more alive, so it is more difficult.

Figure

Gypsum figures are part of our main practice. We are familiar with our skills by drawing characters from different angles.

Agrippa

Agrippa was a Roman consul, statesman, general and architect. He got many achievements, so we should foucs on his temperament when we draw him.

Seneca

Seneca was a Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, dramatist. His hair is a good example to practice holistic imd of painting.

Gorky

This is Gorky, a former Soviet writer, poet, critic, political commentator, and scholar. His heard is very distinctive and is the place we mainly portray.
